Matthew Chong is now a Socialpreneur, Angel Investor, Author, Singer-Songwriter, the Founder and Group CEO of Brandker Group. Matthew is the 2015 Ernst & Young Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year Top Nominee as well as the 2018 and 2014 Ten Outstanding Young Malaysians Top Finalist. Brandker Group was also awarded the 2014 JCI Malaysia ‘Socially Responsible Company’ in support of UN Global Impact.

Matthew has near 20 years of expertise in entrepreneurship, branding and business strategy advisory. He is involved in the strategic branding of more than a hundred local and international businesses, as well as coaching business owners from Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, China, Brunei, India, Philippines, Germany and Canada. Matthew champions Brandpreneurship™ as the future of entrepreneurship, he developed The Duality Strategy™ to explain Innovation in future businesses as the combination of Strategy and Creativity, rational and emotional values.

Matthew went through a difficult childhood. After the passing of his parents at the age of 12, he started working for survival. Matthew first ventured into business at the age of 19 in the optical line, and eventually started businesses in F&B, Trading, Design, Consultancy, Education and Property. In the past 15 years, Matthew worked with clients from Japan, Taiwan, China, Singapore and Malaysia, his consultancy projects range across Finance, FMCG, F&B, Government Agencies, Hospitality, Medical and Retail etc. He involved as a founding team in the development of the Blue Ocean Strategy project with UCSI University. He completed a children’s book called “The Star of Ribba” in 2014 to inspire underprivileged children.

Matthew’s goal in life is to realise MONOTOT City™ of Arts and Technology, Asia’s iconic International Arts & Technology Hub, a Green City powered by Blockchain with education at its core. Some of its iconic infrastructure include The Ark International Arts Convention Centre, International Incubator Centre, Brandker University of Arts and Technology and Rock Kids School for ASEAN’s underprivileged children. MONOTOT City™ embodies Matthew’s lifelong mission to empower local SMEs to build International Brands; to elevate Malaysia’s arts and technology industry in the global arena and to transform the lives of underprivileged children through education.
